On this episode Thomas B. Slocum Jr. (P&A expert/Non-Profit Founder) speaks with us about an issue the oil & gas industry is currently facing: orphaned and abandoned wells. He dives into his background and how this topic took center stage in his career several months back. Thomas discusses his solution to the issue, which is the formation of the “Texas Well Protected Energy Foundation”, a 501c3 non-profit with the goal to marry two issues in our industry today: putting out of work personnel back to work through P&A’ing orphaned/abandoned wells. Through the foundation he wishes to not only plug wells but also educate people to our industries efforts and successes to address this issue.
